Motherly Bond
Motherly bond!
The mom and the ducklings had wandered off to the busy street near the mall.
The curb was too tall for the babies to climb and the mom won't leave them behind at any cost.
My heart melted seeing them cuddle with her as she protectively sat there against the curb.

Dahlia with hidden flames
Dahlia
I was captivated by the half curled and half unfurled petals of this beautiful flower. Only did I notice the flames like center, later in the picture.
Made me think....
How sparks of emotions are contained inside...
Hidden from the outside world.
How we need to pay closer attention to make them out.
But how pretty are they, once found out.

Waxberries
Waxberry (Yangmei)
Tangy with a hint of sweet
Very juicy with a mid seed
I have only seen them in Shanghai but I think they are found in other parts of the world as well.
They have high health benefits that include a boost to the immune system.

Say it with a Rose
Say it with a Rose
It speaks "LOVE"
More than a hundred words!

Poppy Swing
Poppy Swing
Growing up, I loved my time on swings. The higher the better. I could spend hours sitting or standing, taking the swing to extreme heights, in opposite directions.
The love continued even after adulthood. I would run towards the swing whenever I would see one.
The joy came to a halt when I developed vertigo after giving birth to my first born.
My heart would sink at the slightest dip of the swing.
I could no longer go high, yet, I'd hold my infant in my arms and take her to the swings for mild moments, back and fro, as she enjoyed the ride.
With time, I overcame the vertigo and when my children needed a chaperone, I went with them on the multi looped roller coaster and enjoyed every ride, screaming my lungs out with them.
I could enjoy the swings again.
A few more years, and a bad back, brought back the gripping fear of jerks.
No longer, I dare go very high on the swings. I am back to mild rides, although occassionally, I sneak in a higher one :-)
As I looked at the Poppy in the picture that looked like a swing, the memories rushed by.
Oh, how life takes us on the swing ....up and down.

Butterfly
Each is pretty & unique
Some have colors, some have none
Polka dots or lines onlique
Scattering joys , flutterings wings
They are beautiful and mystique
This butterfly inspired these lines as I remmbered the time when I saw it clutching the tiny flowers in the winds strong enough to blow my embrella away.
